How amazing is our God?  As I was driving to work this morning, I was reminded of how awesome our God is.  I'm amazed at his creation.  The trees, the mountain, etc.  are so perfect.  He created a beautiful country.   A song came on the radio that made me think of how much closer to God I need to be, because He is the only way. "Jesus, friend of sinners, break our hearts for what we breaks your"  Can you imagine how much hurt we cause to God?  I am going to strive to be a better Christian and walk the walk God wants me to.  Brooklyn has been in bible school all week at Clinch River.  Every night she comes home, I ask what did you learn today.  Of course last night her response was "God."  On Monday night, she came home so excited.  She told me that God stopped the riber (river). Because he let the people through, and put the water back together.  It is amazing that at 3 years old, you can learn so much. She was very fascinated with the river.  The next day she came home and said "Mom, we didn't talk about the riber today."  I am so glad that we live in a country where we can go to church and teach our kids the right ways.  I know that as a parent, I am not perfect at teaching my kids, but I do know that I (and Andrew) are going to try so much harder to teach our children what God would want us to teach. Just pray that we can do it how God wants us to.

Sarah was sick last week with bronchiolitis.  Her lungs were very junky.  So we were on antibiotics, breathing treatments, and steroids.  Needless to say, we did not sleep while she was on the steroids.  She could not quit moving.  But, through all of this, she was just her happy little self.  Her smile just lights up my world.  We could not have asked for better children.  Of course, in my eyes, they are soo perfect!!  She is feeling much better now.  Andrew has been at work for 72 hours straight this week.  So, we have not seen him since Monday morning.  I know that he is so excited to see the girls today, and love all over them.

I am reminded everyday how much God has blessed Andrew and I.  We have 2 beautiful girls, a wonderful family, great jobs, etc.  We could go on and on.  I just want to say how blessed we are to have family that loves and cares for our girls.  We have never had to put our kids in daycare, and they are well taken care of.  Brooklyn is in Mississippi this week with my parents.  She is definitely enjoying her visit there, while it is hard for us in Tennessee to be without her.  I am counting down the days to when she will be back.  Everytime I call and talk to her, she says she misses us but that's about all I can get out of her.  She has been fishing, playing with my nephew Kasyn, and just having a great time.

I am so glad that she will stay places without Andrew and I, although we do miss her alot. But, I feel better knowing, that if Andrew and I aren't with her, she is ok.

As for Sarah,  she just started eating baby food last week, and absolutely loves it. For those of you who don't know, she was born with a cleft palate.  Sometimes, feeding her can be such a challenge.  It seems that every feeding and every bottle nipple is so different.  But, I feel like that we are actually getting used to it, and bottle feedings are definitely much smoother than they were.  Her cleft palate repair is scheduled for September 4th.  There are so many things that I feel like we need to work on, but I know that God is going to take care of her.  She likes to suck her paci.  After surgery she cannot have anything in her mouth until she heals.  That means no paci. They also want her to be drinking out of a valveless cup.  Teaching a 4 month old to drink out of a valveless cup, could get very interesting!!

Welcome to our blog!!  I've decided to try something new to keep people updated on my precious family.  We have family all over, so I thought it may be easier to keep people up to date this way.  So to start out, let's go back to July 19, 2008. This is when Andrew and I got married.  Who knew what God had in store for us.

On May 7, 2009, we were blessed with our first daughter, Brooklyn.  She is now 3 years old and such a blessing to us.  She is so much fun, never a dull moment with her. She is absolutely beautiful and so smart. I will write more stories about Brooklyn throughout our blog.  It is amazing the things she comes up with at times.

On January 3, 2012, we were blessed with another daughter, Sarah.  She is now 4 months old and learning new things every day.  She was born with cleft palate.  So, her first few weeks of life were challenging trying to get her eating down.  She is now taking her bottles like a champ, and loves loves her baby food. She will have surgery September 4th to repair the surgery.  I just pray for a smooth surgery with minimal pain.

Sisterly love... Brooklyn loves her little sister. She is such a good big sister and loves to help with Sarah.  I can't wait until Sarah is big enough to play with her. (But, of course, I don't want her to grow up too fast, which she is already doing)

Well, that's about it for tonight.  I will try to write more tomorrow.
